I recently attended a conference in Texas and there were exhibitors there for you to look over. I was wondering and a young college student asked me if she could tell me about her college.
She gave me the normal song and dance, but then caught my attention. She told me that her college believed in technical learning, putting the world into their students hands. "To do this" she said, "they school provides each entering freshman with an i-phone." and proceeded to pull hers out.
I found this amazing here is a college that is not only talking the talk they are walking it as well!

Using Technology in the Classroom
This does not mean that the teacher shows video, nor does it mean that you allow the students to use a computer. Sorry if I just busted a bubble!

Using technology in the classroom is taking the tools that students use everyday in their lives and integrating them into your lesson!
The tools in technology are growing, WHY because they are being used EVERYWHERE except in the classroom. Teachers and administrators are punishing students for having their cell phones in school or out in class. I say tell them to get them out and teach them how to use them to gain knowledge.
